| Description of the problem | The driveshaft completely fell off my truck locking up the rear end. The truck bounced violently down the road leaving skid marks and holes in the pavement where the driveshaft hit it until the whole thing finally came off. Smoke rolled from under the vehicle when it finally stopped. Luckily i was on a side road and not in traffic when the failure occurred. Under different road conditions & speed this failure could definitely have led to a roll-over and potentially fatal accident. I was not notified by chrysler of any potential failure. |
