| Description of the problem | When the vehicle is filled up with gas, it will stall until some of the gas is burned off. This has happened to me in the middle of an intersection while turning. Vehicle loses all power. The vehicle also constantly emits gasoline fumes. Very dangerous as my truck is parked in the garage with the hot water heater. Check engine light has been on for months and the instrument cluster reads "gas cap". My mechanic checked it out and verified this is a known problem with this model of dodge ram involving the gas tank. The part that needs replaced is attached to the inside of the tank, so an entire new gas tank is required to correct these issues. |
