Description of the problem	2007 dodge ram 1500 laramie - passenger side seat belt release mechanism failed - belt remained locked across chest and lap. Red push button release depressed, failed to unlatch seat belt. Passenger unable to release belt from fastener. Belt became tighter and tighter, to the point of crushing pain. Cut belt to release passenger. Thank god not in an accident or imminent danger somewhere, unable to release belt to escape.
