| Description of the problem | Driving a 2007 dodge ram at 35 mph in snow/slush conditions with full time 4wd. The shift motor on the transfer case failed and caused the vehicle to return to 2wd without any notification. This caused me to go into a spin. Just prior to spinning, the instrument panels lights went out and all gauges went to "zero" momentarily. Afterwards, the 4wd auto light was flashing and i had no 4wd. This design is not fail safe and there are no safety warnings from the manufacturer. I also found out from my local dealer that this is the second incident just in this area. |
