| Description of the problem | I purchased my current truck band new and have been the only owner. I place the key into the ignition and it does not allow me to turn the key to crank the truck. It acts as if the anti locking device is keeping the key from turning. My previous dodge ram 1500 pickup i purchased new had the same problem. I had to replace the ignition switch at my own cost. I have seen several recalls with other chrysler products doing the same exact thing. It appears to be a reoccurring problem. The vehicle is in the stationary position and has left me stranded. I have seen youtube video of the person tapping on the end of the key while in the ignition which seems to work on occasion. |
