| Description of the problem | My 2006 ram 1500 suddenly dropped the driveshaft on the highway last night with no warning or noises until it just dropped from the rear differential. I was going about 70 mph when it happened and was lucky enough to get off the interstate and slow down to about 30 mph when the rear end locked up and i couldn't go anywhere. The pinion nut apparently backed off enough for the driveline to just fall down. I called dodge about the issue and they said there were no recalls for this problem on 2006 ram 1500 trucks. |
