| Description of the problem | 2006 dodge ram 1500. Vehicle would shut down while driving. Engine would crank but not turn over. Mechanic had to tear into engine to find the problem. Rods bent, valve sticking, timing chain jump. Basically the engine was shot. Repair cost $3,000. 00. It appears that a lot of other people have the same problem and it cannot be diagnosed without tearing into the engine. Also turn signal would blink opposite of where turning. Dodge needs to do something about this. These are safety issues! I would like to be reimbursed my costs. Mileage on vehicle: 158,000. Interesting enough, i have a 2001 dodge ram that has over 307,000 miles on it and never had this problem. |
