Description of the problem	Dodge is aware of this issue. They have updated the part and there are many customer paid repairs. The control box for the heating and a/c system is defective and breaks at the blend door. When this happens, the blend door no longer works and it disables the defroster and a/c. On cool or cold days, the windshield can suddenly fog up and there is no way to clear the view as air does not blow in that direction. On hot days, the system can not push air out enough to keep the driver from excessive heat. The part number is 68004226ac. This part has been supersession chain of about 4 other numbers as dodge corrected design flaws over the years. I would also note that because this involved a/c and heating, many people do not notify nhtsa of the concern, but it is very well documented and known. It is a very common problem that causes driving issues without being reported.
