| Description of the problem | Traveling fl turnpike in palm beach county. Typical week-long heavy rain in may with standing water. Dodge ram 1500 with goodyear wrangler hp 275/60r20" tires. I was driving approx 45 mph due to rain and standing water in a 65 mph zone of the middle lane when the tires lost traction and i hydroplaned. The truck began to fishtail. Being a professional driver of a fire truck i used proper corrective techniques to compensate and avoid rollover and avoided other vehicles. I crashed into the right safety guard rail. Crash caused damage to front bumper and both front/rear 1/4 panels. Afterwards i looked up the reviews of this tire and found multiple complaints of inadequate traction during wet conditions and similar experiences. |
