Description of the problem	I was on kingston pike hwy sitting at a red light in front of a gas station waiting for the light to turn red. When all of a sudden it felt as though someone hit me from the rear end, the motor shut off. The truck was in gear still, so i put in park and looked behind me. I noticed that nobody hit me. I then started the truck up an put in gear at first it did nothing then it moved so turned into the parking lot of the gas station. The truck came to a stop itself, but the motor was still running so i immediately shut it off. When i got out i looked under the truck seeing the drive shaft hanging down. I called progressive insurance for a tow. I had it towed to a mechanic shop, who looked at it the next day telling me that the pinion nut had came off and went back into the case. There was damage but that he put another nut on with some locktite, but he did not brake the differential down. I was told that it would need to be done to insure how much damage was done. So i took it to a 4x4 specialist who said he had heard of this before. That i am looking at about $1000 in repairs. I came back home and researched this problem notice several people with the same problem. Along with a recall on 2009 to 2012 year models for the same thing. ...
