Description of the problem	Tl* the contact owns a 2005 dodge ram 1500. While traveling approximately 75 mph, a loud abnormal noise emitted from the rear of the vehicle. The contact was in the process of merging to the side of the road when the rear axle pinion nut fractured, the rear wheels locked, the drive shaft fractured as well as the transfer case, causing damages to other components. The contact later received notification of nhtsa campaign numbers: 14v796000 (power train) and 15v313000 (air bags). The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the vehicle was towed to an authorized dealer. The manufacturer indicated an unreasonable timeframe for the parts to become available and the contact was unable to get the vehicle repaired. The failure mileage was not available.
