| Description of the problem | While driving my truck, i heard a whining noise coming from the rear, and then i felt my drive shaft disengage from the differential (rear axle pinion nut recall p77/nhtsa 14v-796) and drop to the street. Currently, there is no permanent remedy for this condition. The dealer (cumerland auto center, cookeville, tn) could repair the vehicle, but the same thing could happen again, and i would have to pay for the repairs twice (once without remedy and once with remedy) and get reimbursed later by fca customer assistance, washington, dc. I only have one other vehicle in my family to use, and the recall doesn't pay for a rental. My vehicle also requires repair for p81 (air bags). |
