Description of the problem	On going problem with dodge ram 1500 trucks. They contain a faulty exhaust gas recirculation (egr) valve. The sensor causes trucks to stall out when driving at slower speeds under 40 mph. With loss of power loose power steering and power brakes. I would also imagine affects exhaust emissions as gas mileage severely drops when egr valve is going out. Trucks engine malfunction indicator light usually comes on. If you go to dealership will charge you $175 to tell you why indicator light came on. If you turn the key on-accessory, on-accessory, on-accessory and finally on rapidly, will show you error code on odometer for free. Usually will get a p0404, p0405 or p0406 code which is the egr valve out or on its way out. If you search the internet you will see hundreds of postings with ones regarding vehicles stalling out. Something needs to be done before some unlucky person is involved in a collision due to loss of power.
