| Description of the problem | My 2002 dodge ram 1500 has a cracked dash. There were no adverse conditions or abnormal events prior to the dash falling apart. After researching this issue, i have come to the conclusion that hundreds if not thousands of dodge owners are experiencing the same problem. I opened a case directly through the chrysler group llc. To correct the issue and they refused to help me. I find it hard to believe that a plastic dash that is cracking so badly that there are sharp exposed edges around the airbag is not a safety concern. I would like the nhtsa to follow up with chrysler about this issue and see what needs to be done to ensure that no one is injured by shrapnel from a defective dash. |
