| Description of the problem | I have a 2001 dodge 1500 ram pickup. It is garage kept and has been since 2001. I baby this vehicle. It only has a little over 60,000 miles on it to date. For no reason the dash started to crack, then a couple of days ago, the dash exploded leaving a huge crater in my dash. I was driving down the road when this happened and it scared me to death. I thought someone had hit me. My husband has a 2001 2500 dodge ram pickup and the dash has now started cracking in his truck. The local dodge dealership said they are aware of this happening to the dodge trucks, but because there is not a recall there is nothing they can do. I feel this should be a recall issue because it is happening to so many of these trucks, and this can be a safety issue because no one knows when this will happen. |
