Description of the problem	I purchased a used 2001 dodge ram 1500 slt laramie 2x4 in may 2005 from cutter dodge in hawaii with 32,000 miles.. The truck was flawless. In the beginning of 2007 my dashboard began to crack. I have taken excellent care of the truck as far as maintenance and protective measures to prolong the truck. I contacted the dealership and they said i would have to pay for a new dashboard with parts and labor it was quoted at $2100. 00. I've researched online and through networking that everyone who owns a 2000-2003 dodge ram has a bad dashboard. It seems to be a safety issue, being the majority of the cracks are above the passenger side airbag. I have purchased a dashmat to try and prolong what is left of the dashboard, and at the same time upset that dodge will not replace the dashboards, that are faulty. I've owned older trucks that didn't have dashboards that cracked or fell apart. Could someone look into this?
