Description of the problem	I was driving home on the tollway from the airport in my 2001 dodge ram when the hood flipped up and smashed into my windshield. I had to slow down in traffic and get to the side without being able to see in front of me. Now my hood is damaged, my windshield shattered, and damage to my roof. I investigated of past concerns and found numerous reports of this happening to 2000 and 2001 dodge ram trucks, a report was even done by the nhtsa but was found not that important apparently. This could have been a serious incident and was very lucky to get out of it unharmed.
