Description of the problem	On friday sept 4th i was using my vehicle normally . After turning it off at my home after going to the bank, i attempted to turn it back on to go to work and it wouldn't move into gear. I put the vehicle in drive, but the engine just made a revving sound and didn't move. I tried reverse, neutral, drive and the vehicle only revved. After missing work, we had the vehicle towed to a local repair shop that told us a recall was not including our vin #. They explained that the transmission pump wasn't getting fluid to the transmission and since it failed our transmission was damaged. We our now facing needing a new transmission. I don't see how there is an active recall that includes my make and year and vehicle type but excludes my vin. If i had been aware of a recall a small repair could have been made. Now my vehicle needs an entire new transmission. This could have been deadly if my vehicle died in the middle of an intersection. A caravan is sold specifically as a family vehicle. Yet this company is putting my babies at risk. If their transmission pump is bad it's in all the caravans, not just one or two. This needs to be fixed before someone actually gets injured.
