Description of the problem	Tl* the contact owns a 2016 dodge grand caravan. The contact stated that while driving at 35 mph, the engine began making an abnormal winding noise without warning. As the contact proceeded to drive, the vehicle began to stall and hesitate upon depressing the accelerator pedal without warning. The contact initially drove the vehicle to an independent mechanic where the mechanic informed her that the transmission pump had failed. The mechanic had also informed her of a recall that had been placed on her model vehicle nhtsa campaign number: 16v461000 (power train). The contact then had the vehicle towed to another independent mechanic for a second opinion and he also determined that the transmission pump had failed and that the vehicle needed a transmission replacement. The manufacturer was then notified of the failure and informed her that the vin was not included in the recall. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.
