| Description of the problem | 2016 dodge caravan with 53,000 miles on it. Both sliding doors stopped working. One was in the locked position and one in the unlocked position. We were able to get them to work by pushing the lock buttons manually while hitting lock/ unlock buttons. Now both doors make a loud buzzing noise when locking and unlocking. We bought the extended warranty and they tell us this is not covered under warranty. Dealer wants $900 per door to fix. This is a safety issue because they will get stuck again in the locked position and with small children in car seats this is very dangerous and unacceptable. Chrysler needs to take responsibility for poor products. Last van we will ever purchase by chrysler or dodge. Toyota or honda here we come!!! Also when a vehicle cant be locked who know who is hiding inside when you get out of work. It gets dark by 5pm where i live. |
