| Description of the problem | On the morning of april 18, 2015 around 2:30 am the engine compartment of the vehicle was observed to be on fire by a neighbor who called 911. The police report states that the mini van was almost fully engulfed by the time they arrived. The vehicle had been sitting in the driveway since 5 pm the day prior and had not been started since that time. At the time of the fire the vehicle had about 10,000 miles on it and the chrysler work around for the 'vent window switch' recall had been done as they did not have the part to remedy the problem. This has been reported to chrysler who after almost 10 months has determined that they do not seem to know what caused the fire but that they are not responsible. |
