Description of the problem	The van randomly and with no warning loses power steering and locks the gas pedal so it cannot be pressed while driving around 25-35 mph. Putting the van in park and restarting the car fixes the problem. This has happened at least 8 times in the last 4 months. Mechanic has tried to fix the problem and the problem continues to be an issue. It seems to happen near stoplights while the car is in motion. It also seems to occur within 10-20 minutes of starting the vehicle. On one occasion the brakes locked up with the steering. No engine lights turn on when it happens, and it is impossible to replicate the problem on demand. Through social networking and researching the problem online many other dodge caravans and chrysler vans have had this same problem with no solution.
