| Description of the problem | While driving on the interstate with cruise control on, the car shut off entirely after hitting a bump. The rpm went down to 0 and the gas pedal did not work. Everything seemed fine as we were driving. We did not have any warning lights or check engine lights. The car simply shut off at 80 mph. Attempts to turn the car back on did not work. This has now happened on two separate occasions. Thankfully we were able to pull to the side of the road safely each time. We aren't sure if this is an electrical problem, since cruise control was on when the car shut off. |
