| Description of the problem | The cooling system started a leak near the firewall where are the metal tubing connects 2 each y plastic connectors. It is one solid piece that wraps around the top of the engine and factory price is $185 no third party available. After inspecting the y connectors they are made of very very thin abs plastic. At 125000 miles had to replace it twice within 50000 miles the second time i used 2 each brass tee connectors with additional 5/8 heater hose and spliced it together for a better stronger connection. This has made the fourth high pressure leak i've had and 60,000 miles. |
