Description of the problemAfter placing shifting lever in park, stepping on the emergency brake i tried to remove ignition key and it would not come out. I doubled check to make sure i was placing in the off position. Placed shifter lever in various positions and then back into park and the key still would not come out. Sat there for about 5-10 minutes and then the key finally came out. Took to dealership and they could not duplicate issue but dealership lubricated the ignition cylinder and it seemed to help. Then it happened again about 6 months later and i again took to the same dodge dealer (rockwall dodge in rockwall tx 75189). They removed the ignition key and removed a spring or replaced a spring and stated this should fix it. However, over the last several months it is doing the same thing... Ignition switch stuck. I am afraid someday i will not be able to turn engine off or get key out. Have others had this problem?
