| Description of the problem | Received important safety recall for fobik on vehicle in late sep 2014 (6 months ago). Fobik causes continued problems (not seating correctly, getting stuck in accessory mode, not allowing vehicle to start). Dealer can't repair due recall l25/nhtsa 14v-373 (they need the same part that remains, as of this date, 'unavailable'. How long does an 'important safety recall' get to languish before it is a priority for repair? 6 months certainly does not infer 'a safety priority'. Why issue a safety recall notice months before the remedy part is available to enable a repair? This seems a bit backwards. |
