Description of the problem	2005 dodge grand caravan, door locks fail to lock/unlock. Remote key sounds, lights flash, to all appearances the locks seem to have functioned but looking down thru the windows the locks have not changed state. This vehicle has one door lock on the drivers door and one the tailgate. In a emergency this limits access to passengers, the false sense of security implied by the horn and lights as positive feedback that the locks functioned is poor engineering. Dodge service states that flashing the bcm module will repair the fault at 79. 00 charge. If the problem is software it is my hope there will be a recall for this problem.
