| Description of the problem | Repeated failure of power locks in 2005 dodge grand caravan. This is apparently a well documented problem, but chrysler as yet to issue a recall. The bcm has to be reprogrammed. The only other temporary solution is to disconnect the battery or fuse. This model has only one external key hole on the drivers door. And manually locking the van doors makes loading and unloading small children difficult. It also poses a serious hazard in the event a quick escape from the vehicle is needed in the event of a crash, fire, or submerged. |
