Description of the problemRecently my power door locks quit on my 2005 dodge grand caravan, when trying to activate it either by my key or from the door panel. I gave it to my mechanic who fixed the problem.. The same problem recurred a week later. I was quite upset for paying money for a simple problem which was not fixed. The mechanic told me to disconnect the power from the battery (for at least 15 minutes) and then reconnect the battery. The power door locks now work. However this problem could happen again. I did a search on this problem on the web and found many other people complaining about this exact problem on the 2005 grand caravan. The correct solution seems to be going to a dealer. But i will not pay for a manufacturing defect ( and this defect is definitely a safety and security problem). This problem should be under a recall order.
