Description of the problem	We have owned our 2005 dodge grand caravan since 10/2004 and have had problems with the power locks for two years. Power locks are very important to us for practical and safety reasons (we have 3 young children) so we were pleased to find online forums that provided temporary computer remedies to this problem to eliminate costly repair bills. However, this was only a quick fix and short term. The locks had to manually be reset monthly, sometimes daily (more than once a day near the end), and now cannot be rest at all. We have only 37,900 miles on our van but are no longer under warranty. It is just too costly to take the van into the dealership to fix a problem that obviously must be recalled by reading over a hundred complaints. This failure is a computer problem and must be remedied by dodge for the safety of our children before they are hurt. There is only one key entry to the van on the drivers side which makes it extremely difficult to maneuver and travel. We have to crawl all around the inside of the van and over car seats to lock and unlock all of the doors. If the doors aren't locked, one of the kids could open them which is a real safety hazard. Disconnecting the battery to reset the computer system is not something that we should have to handle, it is a computer failure on the part of chrysler and should be recalled as such for our safety.
