| Description of the problem | Tl*the contact owns a 2005 dodge caravan. He noticed that the air bag warning light illuminated on the instrument panel. He took the vehicle to an independent mechanic who replaced the air bag sensors at the owner's expense. The manufacturer was contacted and stated that there were no related recalls for his vin; however, the contact saw a news report for a recall on his year, make and model vehicle. The manufacturer was contacted and advised him that his vin was not "yet" a part of the recall (nhtsa campaign id number: 10v008000: air bags :frontal: sensor control module). The failure mileage was 75,477. The current mileage was 83,300. |
