| Description of the problem | There is a known problem with the a/c condenser in the chevrolet tahoe 2015. The ac will just stop working and blow hot air. They have had this problem with a leaking condenser for quite some time but have not issued a recall. The wait to get the part is 8-12 weeks which makes the cars unusable in the summer months. The cost for repair is $1200. They know this is a problem yet they continue to sell their used tahoes with these faulty condensers. I believe is this is fraudulent. I am still waiting to get mine fixed. They redesigned the part to fix the problem but the backlog is so long and they are using them to manufacturer their new cars versus servicing their existing client base. If you google it, you will find crazy stories of people trying to get this problem fixed for months and dealing with no ac in states with high temperatures such as texas and nevada. I believe they use these in their 2015 silverados and 2015 suburbans. Calls to corporate chevy did nothing to help. He just told me he handles these calls all day long for ac issues. I would happily join a class action law suit to push them to do the right thing. |
