Description of the problem	At low speeds my brake pedal would get extremely hard to push down causing the car to be difficult to stop. After turning off the vehicle and turning it back on it seemed fine. A few weeks went by with no issues and then it returned when backing out of my driveway. Turned the vehicle off and on and it seemed to be working fine. Another 3 days passes and then brake pedal gets hard and can barely stop the car causing a close collision. The service brake assist light comes on and the brakes are extremely difficult to push to make the car stop. Drove the vehicle home carefully due to needing to step on the brakes extremely hard. Replaced the brake booster and still not working. Replaced the vacuum pump and line to fix the issue. This caused many close calls as the first time i was backing into a parking spot and almost hit the wall. The other times i was driving through a drive through almost hit the car in front of me and driving through a neighborhood towing and almost hit the car in front of me at the stop sign.
