| Description of the problem | Returning from an 80 mile trip from washington dc when i approached a stop light on the highway. Brake pedal went completely to the floor when i tried to engage. Luckily i was able to stop short of hitting car ahead of me. I proceeded through light only to experience the same issue when i pulled off the highway into a convenience store and called my husband. He immediately drove to the dealer and did have brakes at that time. They found oil in the brake line. Had to replace the pump, pipe, booster, cylinder and brake fluid. It was reported to me this has happened numerous times to same model. Why not a recall? Very unsafe! My car was out of warranty. |
