Description of the problem	My truck was in 2 wheel drive(wd) and automatically engaged itself into 4wd on its own., i immediately received a notice on my dash consul, 4wd service alert on my 2015 chevy tahoe ltz. I was on the highway doing the speed limit 70 mph when my truck automatically engaged itself into 4 wheel high almost causing me to loose control on my vehicle. If i were on snow or wet roads i surely would have lost control of my vehicle at a high rate of speed. I immediately took it to brodheadsville chevy for repairs on 26, december 2019. The dealership put my truck on the computer and determined that it had a code c0398 for range position correction. The repair for this was a new calibration (basically update the current software) to the new version which was (version 9. 2). (see attached dealership paperwork which details the repair.) i feel this software glitch is by no way my fault nor my responsibility to pay for this software failure. There was not any part found faulty or replaced. Computers were not damaged nor harmed in any manner to create this issue. This was a software glitch or error. The dealership had no explanation as to why or how this happened. I as a user of chevrolet's product have no control of how chevy codes there software to make sure that it performs correctly. If there is a coding defect in there software there is absolutely no way that i can repair it with out going to the dealership and having them fix it. I would like to see a recall on this unsafe issue potentially causing lose of life.
