| Description of the problem | Vehicle did not want to start when cold. Would take 2-3 times to get engine to turn over. After driving, the smell of gasoline was undeniable. Brought vehicle in to local mechanic and he discovered the fuel hose had chaffed and fuel was spraying out and puddling on top of fuel tank. He dropped fuel tank and replaced fuel line. Fuel line that was removed had no protection on it. Replacement part had a corrugated loom protecting fuel line. I am still in possession of damaged fuel line in question. |
