| Description of the problem | 2011 chevrolet tahoe cracking dashboard. Cracks (3) appeared over the course of 12 months (spring of 2018 start). First occurred by the passenger air bag, second over the driver side instrument cluster (center), third crack recently occurred lower left of driver side instrument cluster. Vehicle was in motion when cracks occurred (highway and city driving). Vehicle was not involved in any accidents or abuse. The cracking dashboard may be the result of a poor engineering and/or material composition design that does not adequately support/secure the dashboard and substandard materials that allows for vibration (cracking failures). Cracked dashboard components may cause injury and is considered a safety issue for driver and passengers. |
