| Description of the problem | My 2010 chevrolet tahoe ltz has developed a crack in the dash. The crack is located on the driver's side, right side of the instrument cluster, where the dash panels meet in the middle. The vehicle has 64k miles on it, has not been cleaned with chemicals on the dash, has not been in any accidents, and is garage kept. The dealer has stated that this is not covered by a recall, by my extended warranty (still valid), or the extra protection package that i purchased. No other options were offered by the dealer. This presents a safety concern since the dash plastic is hard, is cracking with sharp edges, and could become a projectile in the event of a crash or airbag deployment. The crack was observed while the vehicle was parked. |
