Description of the problem	Takata recall - we took our tahoe to the dealership because the airbag light was on. Dealer told us the airbag would need to be replaced at a cost of $1000. We searched the internet to see if the airbag was under recall. We contacted gm on 12/26/17 and were told by quel that the airbag would be replaced for free. We were contacted by andrea on 1/02/18 and were told it was not under recall and that the repair would not be free. Upon further conversation andrea told me that gm did not have a remedy for the airbag and therefore would not replace it. My airbag seems to fit all the descriptions we read for the recall (year model, front passenger, etc.) i can not understand why they are unwilling to fix the problem.
