Description of the problem	Tl* the contact owns a 2006 chevrolet tahoe. The contact was driving 45 mph and fully depressed the brake pedal but the brakes failed to respond. The contact stated pumping the brakes helped slow the vehicle down. The service brake and abs brake warning lights illuminated after the failure occurred. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed that there was a leak next to the brake reservoir and as a result, the entire brake line needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure and current mileage was 60,000. The consumer stated the emergency brake, did not respond, either. He was finally able to stop the vehicle. When he lifted the hood, he discovered brake fluid all over the engine. The vehicle was take to a repair shop. The mechanic found one of the tubes that were attached to the brake fluid reservoir had cracked allowing the pressure to spray fluid all over the engine compartment, resulting in rapid loss of braking power.
