| Description of the problem | Speedometer works intermittently. Sometimes stays at 0, sometimes pegged, sometimes in between... All independent of speed. Found this was a widespread issue and dealer states gm is covering repairs for 03-04, but not yet 05 and i believe to only 70k miles. My 05 is at 67k miles and i have requested goodwill from gm. They should be covering this repair. This is obviously and extremely common occurrence due to faulty manufacturing. There is also a smell of plastic or another electronic component burning/melting. No fire yet. |
