Description of the problem	I was driving to work january 8th of 2008 and i looked down to set my cruise control and my speedometer was registering over 120 mph. I had to guess how fast i was going and went to the dealership to get it repaired. The service rep said it would be covered and when i went to get it the next day said i owed them a $100 deductible because of the extended warranty. My vehicle has 53,000 miles on it and i wouldn't think a speedometer would go out that soon if at all and should be covered by the manufacturer for using faulty parts. I asked the rep if my speedometer went out again would i have to pay again and he said that it had a 12 month or 12 thousand mile warranty on it. So if this happens again i will have to foot the bill. This is a safety issue and everyone in every state should have their vehicles recalled and fixed with dysfunctional parts. I personally nor will my family buy a gm product again because of this and their service.
