| Description of the problem | Tl*the contact owns a 2004 chevrolet tahoe. The contact received a letter from the manufacturer stating that the instrument panel gauge may malfunction, resulting in incorrect readings on the speedometer. Presently, while driving at various speeds, the fuel gauge dial will sporadically drop to empty and the vehicle will shut off. The contact also stated that the speedometer malfunctions and displays the incorrect speed; however, it resets itself automatically within two to three days. The dealer stated that they were not obligated to repair the vehicle because it has exceeded 70,000 miles. The failure mileage was 85,000 and current mileage was 107,827. |
