Description of the problem | At 74,000 miles, our vehicle quit running. The timing chain had slipped and needed to be replaces along with a timing chain tensioner, guide rails and 8 intake valves. Just prior to quitting, the motor was revving while at stop lights. Fortunately, no accident occurred. Our repair shop indicated this is a very common defect with the audi q5 2. 0 motors and that safety of driving is at risk with this common defect. |
