| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2010 audi q5. The contact stated that while driving in inclement weather, the windshield wipers almost fractured from the vehicle. In addition, he stated that the vehicle went through a car wash and the wipers completely fractured from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who recommended hand washing the vehicle since the car wash brushes would pull the wipers from the vehicle. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure who concluded that the automatic rain sensor was turned on which caused the wipers to activate. They did not offer any assistance since they stated that they were not responsible for the failure. The vin was not available and the vehicle was not repaired.
