Description of the problem	Yamaha has issued a recall on a serious gearbox problem stating that the gearbox may fail and lock. They are telling people do not ride no one is receiving any information from yamaha unless thy are finding out via social media and contacting yamaha directly. This is a potentially life threatening fault and yet they are dragging their feet and supplying no decent information to owners. Furthermore they are not helping anyone return their vehicles for repair when they cannot be ridden to a repair facility. This motorcycle was purchased in good faith and is now not fit for the purpose it was intended for, let alone potentially lethal. They have issued a bulletin to dealers but it appears have not requested dealers contact customers as a matter of urgency. Enclosed ia page 1 from a copy of the bulletin ( i have the rest). You will see they say they are advising customers and yet, as of writing, i can find no one who has received it.
