Description of the problem | Volvo v70--- we removed the handholds from above the driver and front seat passenger. My wife, ellen, suffered a concussion when her head struck the handhold above her as she was driving and the car was hit in the front. No airbags deployed. I found myself bumping my head against these handholds even while driving. These handholds obviously intrude into the headspace of the automobile. I am surprised that volvo would use such iron-hard handholds without padding or without a collapsing or folding mechanism. *nm |
