Description of the problem	The autolock door system fails to unlock the rear left door. A peson in the rear left seat position can not exit the door in case of emergency. There is no way that the left rear door lock can be bypassed. The problem was reported to vw of america on 10/17/18 (1 800 822-8987). The defective locking mechanism has been intermitantly malfunctioning for at least 6 months
