Description of the problemI have a 2013 jetta hybrid that is having the loss of drive and shifting issues as outlined in the recall yet my vin# is not one that is on the list. There have been several times while driving on the interstate as well as locally that the car will just suddenly lose power and i cannot get it back up to speed to pull over. The codes that are coming up because the check engine light is on are: stuck in reverse, stuck in 5th gear luckily i haven't had any accidents. I have taken the car to be diagnosed by a volkswagen dealership as well as an independent auto shop that specializes in volkswagens both with the same result that is needs a transmission. I don't understand why it is not being recalled when it is doing all the same things that is stated in the recall and not to mention the safety implications. This is very frustrating when i cannot safely rely on my car not knowing when it will happen and if i will be as lucky as to not get into an accident. I really wish volkswagen would do something about this, but the only thing i keep hearing is i'm sorry your vin# is not on the recall.
