Description of the problem | I recently experienced a motorcycle fire likely caused by the recall issue while starting my morning commute. I was lucky enough to notice the smoke shortly after leaving my home just before getting on the freeway. I was wearing a helmet camera and i have included the youtube video of the event below. 4 years ago a local dealership performed the prescribed recall fix on the regulator/rectifier. The wire from which appears to have been the source of this fire. I contacted the dealership and they told me because the work had been done, triumph would not repair this issue. My concern is a motorcycle should never catch on fire and this definitely appears to be a design flaw. If i had not noticed it when i did i might not be hear to write this report.
